Void Old Quote

Someone once quoted for me:

“There are no strangers here,

Only friends who have not yet met.”

And I believed him.

But now another idea strikes me:

“There are no friends here,

Only strangers who pretend to know each other.”

For maybe that’s what we are.

We thought our souls met

And saw the beauty in each other.

Perhaps, it’s but an illusion

Painted by our own minds

To teach our hearts to feel.
